Information for Presenters
Conference Booklets
We will not be printing abstract booklets, but we will have printouts of the schedule at the Registration desk. Please bring a laptop or tablet with the abstracts if you want to look at them during the conference.
The full interactive schedule, with links to the abstracts can be found here.
Internet Access
If your home institution is a member of eduroam, you can connect to Cornell's eduroam network. You do not need to register as a guest or obtain Cornell credentials to use eduroam. Otherwise, Wi-Fi access is available through the Cornell-Visitor network. Please refer to these Wi-Fi instructions to get connected.
Accessibility
We strive to host an inclusive, accessible event that enables all individuals to engage fully. To request an accommodation or for inquiries about accessibility, please let us know as soon as you can by emailing us at nels-conference@cornell.edu.
Talks
- Talks are 20 minutes, plus 10 minutes for questions/discussion. The session chair will keep time for you and let you know when you have 10 minutes, 5 minutes, and 1 minute left. If you go overtime, that will just take time out of your discussion period.
- We anticipate that most presenters will want to use their own laptops. However, if for any reason you cannot bring your laptop/would prefer to use another computer, please let us know by September 24.
- If you are presenting using handouts, please bring at least 70 copies. There are several copy shops on campus and nearby, should you need to make more copies.
- For those of you who would like to present your talks using slides, there will be a projector in the room. Please make sure you bring any adapters your computer requires. The AV setup on Friday (in RPCC) will be HDMI only and on Saturday & Sunday (in Klarman) will accommodate either a VGA or HDMI connector.
Posters
- There are 3 poster sessions; please check the program to see which day you are presenting.
- Posters should not exceed 4 ft (121 cm) in height by 4 ft (121 cm) in width.
- The poster can be in any orientation.
- Posters each day can be set up at 10:00 AM during the break.
- Poster tacks will be provided. Please do not use adhesives that leave significant damage to the poster boards, as we have to return them for reuse after the conference.
Photocopying and Printing
There are poster-printing and photocopying services available in the libraries on campus and in the surrounding neighborhood, Collegetown. Note that due to fall break, the libraries on campus have reduced hours. Please consider printing ahead of time if at all possible.
